As the Manager Analytical Development (AD) you are responsible for leading and managing the Analytical Development Department. Key Responsibilities:

In your role as Manager AD you:

  • Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of analytical strategies, methods, and technologies in support of polymer and formulation development, including process development.
  • Lead internal analytical research and development activities, ensuring alignment with strategic and project objectives.
  • Oversee project meetings, budgets, timelines, and resource requests.
  • Allocate resources effectively across internal R&D and commercial projects.
  • Ensure robust analytical methods, high-quality data, and strong scientific interpretation to support polymer and formulation development.
  • Facilitate effective communication and stakeholder management in a matrix organization across functions and teams, including R&D, Business Development, Finance, Project Management, Polymer Research and Development, and Formulation and Process Development.
  • Provide functional management and leadership to team members, fostering professional growth, scientific excellence, and high performance.

 

Qualifications:

In addition to a BSc, MSc or PhD degree in analytical (bio)chemistry, polymer chemistry, biotechnology, (bio)pharmaceutical sciences or a related discipline, you:

  • Have at least 5 years of relevant analytical experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device company (10+ years for BSc).
  • Have proven experience in qualitative and quantitative characterization of a broad range of drug substances, in particular peptides, proteins, polymers, and complex parenteral sustained release formulations.
  • Have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical business environment and regulatory requirements.
  • Have experience in leading and managing teams.
