In addition to our highly versatile portfolio of proprietary biodegradable polymeric drug delivery technologies and an extensive track record in pharmaceutical development, we offer cGMP manufacturing of clinical supplies through a network of qualified CMOs. Due to the success of our innovations we need to expand our team and we currently have a job opening for Technician in the Formulation & Process Development team.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a talented and hands-on Technician with at least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical / medical device industry to join our team. As a Technician you will play a key role in the development, optimization, and scale-up of drug product formulations and manufacturing processes. You contribute to the development of safe, effective, and high-quality long acting parenteral formulations using InnoCore’s SynBiosys® biodegradable polymer platforms. You design and execute experiments in the laboratory and ensure accurate and timely documentation of data and information. On a daily basis you are supervised by (senior) scientists and are part of a cross functional team (e.g. with polymer-, analytical-, or quality experts). You typically work on multiple projects in parallel. You report to the Senior Manager Formulation and Process development .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and production of new long acting parenteral formulations
  • Prepare and execute various formulation- and process development experiments to characterize and select optimal formulations and evaluate process parameters to improve CQA’s, production yields and efficiencies.
  • Contribute to cross-functional project teams, including Formulation & Process Development, Analytical Development, Polymer R&D and Quality Assurance.
  • Organize, plan, execute and document experiments independently according to project deadlines.
  • Provide reliable data and interpretation of observations from experiments by accurately and timely documenting in lab journals or similar documents.
  • Collaborate and communicate timely with the Analytical Development Team in order to have selected (physical) analyses executed as planned.
  • Select the appropriate equipment based on the purpose of the experiments and ensure optimal set-up in order to have first-time-right execution.
  • Participate in laboratory cleaning, equipment calibration, and maintenance in order to enable efficient and safe execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
  • Ensure compliance with the internal Quality Management System and standard procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in laboratory environment
  • Experience and training in Quality Management Systems and procedures (e.g., ISO standards or GMP guidelines).
